Greek Mythology Oracle - Hebe's Magicks

Title: Hebe's Magicks
Size: 5.5"x8.5"
Medium: Acrylics and coloured pencils
Represents: Play
Artist's comment: With every artwork I complete, my loathing for my scanner increases. I will never buy a canon scanner ever again. In fact, while this one is still relatively new, I may have to replace it before too much longer as trying to get this stupid machine to match colours is nigh on impossible. In Hebe's case, the purples have lost some of their pink, her hair is too as is her skin.
As for the painting itself, I kinda botched her face just a little, but I could not rework her eyes any more than I have or I would have had to start from scratch again. That is something I just don't have the breathing space to do. It's kinda good for me to be on a tight deadline. I cannot afford to be overly critical. I cannot afford to start again just because the painting has not turned out as I expected.
That aside, I do like this picture. There's something delightfully innocent about her cute, but wonky face. I think it adds to her appeal, but that could just be me. *winks*
