Greek Mythology Oracle - Zeus and Hades

Title: Entrance to the Elysium Fields
Size: 8.5"x11"
Medium: Acrylics
Represents: The Underworld

Title: Zeus the Father
Size: 8.5"x11"
Medium: Acrylics and coloured pencil
Represents: The Father
Artist's Comment: I don't really have much to say about the first painting; it's not my cup of tea. I didn't really struggle painting it, but the colours did not work as I had hoped. I always seem to struggle with cards that have a lot of red in them. Anyways, my partner loves it. Maybe it's just too masculine for my liking?
But the second one -- Zeus the Father -- well now this one floats my boat. Why? Because the model for the painting was my partner and the likeness is quite striking. He's been walking around with a big smile on his face, all puffed up with pride. I can almost guarantee that I won't have as many problems getting him to pose for me next time. *winks and laughs*
The colours were right, this painting was easy. It almost painted itself.
Anyways ... big day for me tomorrow. I have four lineworks to draw, several orders to fill and mail off, and emails to answer. I have seven to eight more paintings to complete before the end of the month. If it were not for the fact that I have painted three this week, I would say that it was an impossible feat, but I'm determined. If I finish the eight I will have completed all of the Olympians and will only have the Magickal and Hero cards left to paint.
Everything is moving along nicely. I can almost see that light at the end of the tunnel.
